Ho spent the summer in Paris trying to lock in the agreement, but the French government was purposely evasive, as it was conspiring to undermine Vietnamese independence.  Ho was nevertheless well received in the French media.  A French reporter who met him noted his “engaging manner and extraordinary gift for making contact,” which “at once brought a warm and direct exchange of views and gave a startlingly fresh ring to commonplace words.” [25]   Ho returned to Vietnam in October and appealed to the Vietnamese people for patience.  The French, however, showed their hand on November 22, 1946.  Using a dispute over control of customs in Haiphong as a pretext, French warships bombarded the unprotected port city, killing at least 6,000 and wounding some 25,000.  On December 19, Ho issued a call for “nationwide resistance”:

In general, faculty members are discouraged from giving final examinations earlier than the published and announced times. If faculty nevertheless decide to administer early examinations, either the questions should be completely different from those on the regularly scheduled examination or the early examination should be administered in a highly controlled setting. An example of such a setting would be a campus seminar room where the examination questions would be collected along with students' work and students would be reminded of their Honor Code obligations not to share information about the examination contents. Hi Ankur,
I am a student of SSN college of engineering, currently pursuing my 3rd year of Computer Science and Engineering with a cgpa of . My aim has always been to study management at top B-school. I would ideally like to secure my admission into a B-school immediately post my Undergraduate degree. The HBS 2+2 program and the Yale Silver Scholars Program are those that seem to be ideal at the moment. Stanford GSB would also be a wonderful opportunity as it grants deferred admission to undergraduate students from what I could gather. I am planning to write my GMAT and TOEFL in the upcoming year and begin the application process following that.
I have volunteered in various events and won several accolades in the field of sports and public speaking. I have already sent a mail to the ID mentioned in the blog post and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
I strongly believe that at this stage, bit of mentoring would give me a better direction. It would be wonderful to have a chance to interact with you personally. Kindly do let me know if you have any tips or advice for me.
Thanking you in advance,
Yours sincerely,
Samiya
